The Surroundings
Situated along the shores of Comox Lake and surrounded by lush forest, the park offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. The main beach boasts a designated swim area, a floating swim dock, and a charming nature playground. Meandering forest trails invite visitors to explore the natural beauty of the area.
In the summer months, the park comes alive with free live music and outdoor movie nights, creating a vibrant and inclusive space for the community to gather. To maintain a safe and welcoming environment, dogs are not permitted on the beach from May through September. However, leashed dogs are welcome in all other areas of the park.
Washrooms & Showers
Added in 2018, the new washroom facility features flush toilets and coin-operated hot showers. Additionally, outhouses are conveniently located throughout the campsite, at the group site and near the sleeping barrels.
Paddlesport Rentals
Are you looking for a fun way to explore Comox Lake this Summer? Come rent a sit-on-top kayak or a SUP (stand up paddle board) from the campground office. We offer single, double or kid size kayaks.
Boat Launch
The boat launch is open 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Boat launch passes must be purchased at the office before launching and be displayed as requested. Limited parking is available and a launch pass does not guarantee parking.
Users wishing to park overnight must park along the back wall of the day use parking lot (with trailer detached from vehicle). Parking is available on a first come, first served basis.
Parking is not permitted along the South side of Comox Lake road, in order to maintain two way traffic and to ensure emergency access.
Overnight or day dock moorage is prohibited.
Concession
The concession at Lake Park serves up a wide selection of your favorite snacks and drinks. Try the burgers, poutine, deep fried pickles or the frozen mango on a stick! Breakfast available weekends in July and August. Gluten-free and vegetarian options available.
Picnic Shelter
The picnic shelter at the main beach is available for reservation between May and September for private gatherings by private citizens. Reservations open March 1st at 10 am. The picnic shelter can accommodate between 10 to 20 people and has a water tap nearby. Alcohol and smoking is not permitted. If you are looking to book the shelter for a public or commercial event or for an organization, please complete a Park Use Permit application found here. Groups found to have booked the picnic shelter for a public or commercial use or for any type of organization without going through the park use permit application process will be asked to leave.
