Our Story
Lake Park Society (previously Cumberland Lake Wilderness Society) is a not-for-profit society that has been contracted by the Village of Cumberland for the overall management and operation of Cumberland Lake Park and Campground since 2015. The Society serves the community by providing physical spaces and outdoor experiences that celebrate nature, build community, support low-impact recreation and inspire learning.

Getting Here
Only a couple minutes drive from the legendary Village of Cumberland in the Comox Valley. Just an hours’ drive from the Nanaimo ferry terminal, getting here from Vancouver is a scenic ferry trip and short drive.

From the laid back beach goer to the adrenaline seeker, there is something for everyone at Cumberland Lake Park Campground. The campground offers swimming and watersports rentals, beautiful hiking trails and a variety of rock climbing crags and bouldering rocks. Just 3 km down the road there is a disc golf course and access to Cumberland’s legendary singletrack, which offers epic mountain biking and endless hiking.
