We offer full-day outdoor education programs, with two options: “Forest Friends” and “Water Keepers”. Both programs aim to promote environmental literacy, social and emotional growth through experiential learning. They are designed with links to the BC Curriculum for Grades 3 in Science and Social Science.

Watershed Canoe Tour

This guided tour explores past, present and emerging stories of the Comox Lake Watershed. Deepen your connection to this beautiful lake while paddling in a 29′ voyageur-style big canoe.

This program is suitable for families with young children (although children will be required to remain seated). Please pre-register for this program.

Movie Nights

Free family friendly movie nights on Saturday nights at 7:00 PM, from July long weekend to Sept long weekend (weather dependent). Bring a blanket or chair and make yourself comfortable. No registration is required.

Friday Night Music

Live music will be playing every Friday night at the main beach from May long weekend to Sep long weekend, starting at 7:00 PM. Bring a blanket or chair, grab some dinner from the concession (closes at 7:00 PM) and take in the show while the sun sets on the lake.

Pop Up in The Park

Our free nature-based program for kids and families aims to create meaningful connections between young people and their natural environment. The program fosters the next generation of stewards through art, play, education and observation.

Drop-in workshops between 3:00 and 5:00 PM on Friday and Saturday afternoons at the main beach picnic shelter. No registration required. Suitable for all ages.

Big Canoe Skipper Course

Big Canoe Courses

Learn to paddle and skipper a big canoe. Both of the Paddle Canada Intermediate Big Canoe Leader Skills and Introduction to Big Canoe Paddling Skills courses are offered each spring. These courses are offered in partnership with Ridge Wilderness Adventures. Contact us to register.
