Summer Camps
Do you want to make new friends, hike, canoe, kayak, try archery, craft, play, tell tall tales, swim, sing and discover the wonders of Cumberland Lake Park this summer? Join our experienced camp leaders for our week-long camps in July and August. We promise you will leave each day tired and inspired. Wriggler Camp
Wriggler Camp is an invitation to our youngest campers. We will explore the beautiful forests and beaches at Cumberland Lake Park at a slower pace than our Scamper and Rambler Camps. Our camp leaders will share age-appropriate games, crafts and activities for a week of outdoor fun!
This camp is for ages 5 and 6 years old. Campers are expected to be comfortable spending the entire day outside. Wriggler Camp runs from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM each day. Registration for the full five-day camp is $180 + tax, four day camps are pro-rated.

Campers must be 5 years old as of the first day of camp. The program involves travel over uneven terrain and requires that participants are aware of their surroundings. Please let us know in advance if this will create a barrier. We will make every effort to include participants of diverse ability.
Scamper Camp
Scamper Camp explores both the forest and the lake. Our camp leaders will take you to all our favourite caves, grandmother trees, hidden waterfalls and secret beaches. We may even paddle in our huge voyageur canoes!
This camp is for kids ages 6 to 9 years old. This program is run in close coordination with Rambler Camp. Some activities may be done as a combined group where appropriate. Scamper Camp runs from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM each day. Registration for the full five-day camp is $230 + tax, four day camps are pro-rated.

Rambler Camp
Rambler Camp explores both the forest and the lake. We will take you to all our favourite trails, boulder gardens, hidden waterfalls and secret beaches. We will try sit-on-top kayaking, SUPs, archery, and might even take the Scampers on an adventure in the huge voyageur canoes!
This camp is for kids ages 8 to 12. It runs in close coordination with Scamper Camp. Some activities may be done as a combined group where appropriate. The activities and format of Rambler Camp is specifically designed for our older campers. Rambler Camp runs from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM each day. Registration for the full five-day camp is $230 + tax, four day camps are pro-rated.

Camp Kin
Camp Kin is an outdoor summer camp with the special, added intention to create a supportive and empowering community for queer, trans, Two-Spirit, questioning and/or curious youth and allies. Campers will canoe, swim, hike, craft and connect with peers and camp instructors who have shared lived experiences. Our priority is to celebrate gender diversity and all orientations by creating a safe space for each camper to be their truest self. Join us for a week of inclusion, play and celebration!
Camp Kin welcomes all identities, including allies. Camps have designated age ranges, please register accordingly. Camp runs from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM each day.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Camp Kin is offered with a self-declared sliding-scale fee. 2024 fees range from $300 (full cost recovery) to $0 (full subsidy). Additional details are provided during registration.

Path Forward
Fire & Flower Empowerment Camp – Kingfisher
Fire & Flower’s Kingfisher Camp is a specialty day camp to empower and prepare 10 to 12-year-old girls and non-binary youth for adolescence in a fun, inviting, and accepting space. Participants often say, “It’s the BEST camp ever!” because we explore topics that are truly relevant in an intimate setting.
Kingfisher Camp focuses on the physical and emotional changes in puberty including an in-depth look at anatomy and menstruation. Learning is balanced with daily time in nature, games, and crafts. LGBTQ2SIAP+ inclusive space. Parents/guardians are invited to join on Friday afternoon. Bursaries are available through Fire & Flower.

Swimming
All participants must wear a PFD (provided) during swimming (wading and splashing) as well as boating activities. Sit-on-top kayaks are used in the swim bay for the optional kayak activity block. All swimming, wading and kayak activities include alternative dry options. Non-swimmers are welcome!
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Grants
Eligible families participating in our five-day camps are encouraged to apply for Canadian Tire Jumpstart Individual Child Grant financial support.
Spring Camps
Our Spring Camps run between April and June.
Land-Care / Self-Care
Land-Care / Self-Care is a brand-new teen camp focused on youth mental health resilience and environmental action.
This camp is for teens aged 13 to 15 and runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. Participants are expected to come prepared to spend the entire day outside. Island Health has provided financial support for this program, and registration is $10 + tax.
Land-Care / Self-Care participants will meet on five successive Saturdays, from April 13 to May 11
